Job summary

Softwerx is hiring several SOC analyst roles in a Microsoft-focused security operations environment. You will handle event intake, triage and incident escalation in a remote-friendly arrangement.

The team supports Microsoft Security accreditation paths and provides time and support to achieve certifications from Microsoft Security Operations Analyst to Microsoft Certified Security Administrator Associate. The successful candidate must live in the UK with right to work.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Information Security principles.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Technical understanding of IT infrastructure (Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Azure Portal).
• Ability to install security software and applications.

Responsibilities

• Receipt and categorisation of initial event, incident and requests from customers.
• Provide initial triage and trigger escalation/assignment as appropriate.
• Investigation of event alerts and liaising with the customer to confirm closure.
• 24/7 rota in 8 hour shift pattern.
