Job summary

Chattermill Analytics Limited is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer (UK or Poland) with remote or hybrid options. You will work on customer feedback analytics using advanced AI, including custom fine-tuning and LLM-powered features.

You’ll collaborate across engineering, product, and commercial teams to deliver scalable ML solutions. The role focuses on building, evaluating, and deploying models, improving semantic search, and maintaining production pipelines.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of transformer architectures.
• Extensive experience with real-world text data: classification, extraction, embeddings, search.
• Experience with instruction fine-tuning and serving language models.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Train, evaluate, and iterate ML models and agentic systems for customer feedback, including custom fine-tuning pipelines.
• Build and maintain LLM-powered features: retrieval, reranking, insight agents, data mining agents, taxonomy generation.
• Design robust evaluation frameworks with metrics and automated checkpoint comparisons.
• Collaborate with Eng, Product, and Commercial teams to translate business needs into ML solutions.

Education

MSc/PhD in Computer Science or related STEM field
