Job summary

A leading fire safety solutions provider in Liverpool is seeking a skilled Management Accountant to oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance tasks. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience and be proficient in deep financial processes specifically within construction. This full-time role offers growth potential and the opportunity to influence financial operations as the company scales. AAT qualification is essential.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• High attention to detail, organised, and deadline‑driven.
• Experience supporting senior management with financial insights.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books across all ledgers including sales and purchases.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and ensure timely month‑end close.
• Prepare and submit VAT and CIS returns.

Skills

Deep understanding of CIS and construction financial processes

Solid grasp of VAT, double‑entry bookkeeping, and financial compliance

Proficient in Excel/Sheets

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to work independently and remotely with minimal supervision

Education

AAT qualified or equivalent bookkeeping certification
