Job summary

A construction firm in Liverpool seeks a Financial Controller to enhance the finance function. This role involves producing management accounts, managing financial controls, and leading a small finance team. Candidates must be qualified accountants (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with strong WIP experience, preferably within the construction sector. Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACCA, CIMA, or ACA certification.
• Proven track record in finance roles, particularly in construction.
• Self-motivated team leader with hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the Finance Director with management accounts production.
• Lead and support two finance team members.
• Manage WIP schedules and project accounting.
• Handle CIS, VAT, balance sheet reconciliation.
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register and cashflow forecasting.
• Drive debtor management and financial controls.
• Produce financial reports for senior leadership.
