Job summary

Evan Craig Limited is seeking a Senior / Geo-Environmental Engineer to join a supportive SME multidisciplinary consultancy. The role is home-based in the South West, with projects across the south of England and opportunities for career development.

Ideal candidates will hold a geology-based degree with a master's in geotechnical engineering or engineering geology, and have 2–10 years of post-grad experience, ideally in consultancy or ground investigation.

Qualifications

• 2–10 years post-graduate experience with a consultancy or ground investigation contractor.
• Working towards chartered status with Geological Society or similar.
• Clean UK driving licence and right to work in the UK without restriction.

Responsibilities

• Preparing desk study reports, factual and interpretative ground investigation reports, remedial strategy reports, coal mining risk assessments, and other ground related reports.
• Designing, organising, and personally executing the ground investigation works, including logging and sampling of soil and rock.
• Managing budgets for ground investigation works and liaising with subcontractors.
• Monitoring hazardous ground gas/groundwater and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Providing technical support to multidisciplinary teams across projects.
