Job summary

Addition Sunderland is seeking an experienced Enterprise Systems & Infrastructure Engineer for a hybrid role with one day on site weekly. You’ll own enterprise networks, cloud and on‑prem infrastructure, IAM, M365 and security‑driven SaaS environments, guiding projects and mentoring juniors.

You will design, implement and manage resilient systems, ensuring security, scalability and high availability while enhancing end‑user experience across the business.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Infrastructure Engineering or senior 3rd line support
• Strong enterprise networking, AD, and cloud (AWS) expertise
• Experience with VMware/Hyper‑V, and FortiGate firewalls
• PowerShell scripting for automation and operational tasks
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Intune and IAM platforms
• Hybrid/on‑prem plus cloud infrastructure experience
• Security‑focused approach with DR and backup planning

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and deployment of enterprise networks and cloud infra
• Manage on‑premise and data centre networking, switches, and firewalls
• Support AWS environments (EC2, S3) and hybrid infrastructure
• Administer identity platforms (Okta/Microsoft IAM) and AD
• Oversee Microsoft 365, Intune, security/compliance tooling
• Provide escalation support and improve system availability
• Mentor junior engineers and guide complex projects
• Automate tasks with PowerShell and drive improvements
