Job summary

Spectrum IT is seeking a Senior Cloud Systems Engineer in Hampshire/Dorset for a permanent hybrid role. You will lead design, deployment and support of complex Microsoft server and cloud infrastructure, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions.

You will drive technical design, troubleshooting and implementation plans, ensuring high-quality delivery and smooth service transitions across live environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in a senior infrastructure/systems engineering role.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong design, implementation and support capabilities for server and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of complex infrastructure projects.
• Design, implement and maintain Microsoft server and cloud solutions.
• Work directly with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements and scope technical solutions.
• Produce high- and low-level technical designs, project documentation and implementation plans.
• Provide technical input into estimates, Statements of Work and change requests.
• Configure and deploy infrastructure in line with agreed designs.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical problem resolution.
• Support live environments, including planned maintenance and incident resolution.
• Manage service transition, documentation and knowledge transfer into support teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure, processes and operational procedures.
• Take ownership of technical tasks from initial scoping through to successful delivery.
