Job summary

Spectrum IT Recruitment is seeking a Senior Cloud Systems Engineer in Hampshire/Dorset on a permanent hybrid basis. You will design, implement and support complex Microsoft server and cloud infrastructure while leading technical projects and engaging with stakeholders.

The role requires 5+ years in a senior infra role with strong Microsoft experience; hands‑on delivery, design work and customer engagement are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in a senior infrastructure/systems engineering role.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies in complex enterprise environments.
• Experience designing and delivering server and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong problem-solving and customer engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of complex infrastructure projects.
• Design, implement and maintain Microsoft server and cloud solutions.
• Work directly with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements and scope technical solutions.
• Produce high- and low-level technical designs, project documentation and implementation plans.
• Provide technical input into estimates, Statements of Work and change requests.
• Configure and deploy infrastructure in line with agreed designs.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical problem resolution.
• Support live environments, including planned maintenance and incident resolution.
• Manage service transition, documentation and knowledge transfer into support teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure, processes and operational procedures.
• Take ownership of technical tasks from initial scoping through to successful delivery.

Are you a Systems Engineer with strong Microsoft infrastructure and cloud experience?

We're looking for an experienced engineer to join a technically diverse environment, taking a leading role in the design, implementation and support of complex server and cloud infrastructure.

This is a hands‑on senior position where you'll combine technical engineering with project delivery, solution design and customer engagement.

Technical expertise we're looking for

You'll ideally have 5+ years' experience in a senior infrastructure/systems engineering role, working with Microsoft technologies within complex enterprise environments.
