Job summary

Spectrum IT Recruitment is looking for a Senior Cloud Systems Engineer in the Hampshire/Dorset region. This permanent, hybrid role combines hands-on engineering with design, delivery and customer engagement to manage complex Microsoft server and cloud infrastructure.

You'll lead infrastructure projects, design and deploy Microsoft server and cloud solutions, and coordinate with stakeholders to scope work and produce technical designs and implementation plans.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and delivering Microsoft server and cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory, PKI and Hyper-V.
• Ability to produce design documents and implementation plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of complex infrastructure projects.
• Design, implement and maintain Microsoft server and cloud solutions.
• Work directly with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements and scope technical solutions.
• Produce high- and low-level technical designs, project documentation and implementation plans.
• Provide technical input into estimates, Statements of Work and change requests.
• Configure and deploy infrastructure in line with agreed designs.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical problem resolution.
• Support live environments, including planned maintenance and incident resolution.
• Manage service transition, documentation and knowledge transfer into support teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure, processes and operational procedures.
• Take ownership of technical tasks from initial scoping through to successful delivery.

Are you a Systems Engineer with strong Microsoft infrastructure and cloud experience?

We're looking for an experienced engineer to join a technically diverse environment, taking a leading role in the design, implementation and support of complex server and cloud infrastructure.

This is a hands-on senior position where you'll combine technical engineering with project delivery, solution design and customer engagement.
