Job summary

Burns Sheehan Ltd is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to scale the data platform underpinning decision-making across a fast-growing consumer tech business. You’ll own end-to-end data projects, collaborating with Product, Analytics and Engineering in a fully remote UK setup.

You will build scalable pipelines in Python and SQL, leverage Snowflake, dbt, Dagster or Airflow, and AWS, and contribute to data quality and monitoring. Startup/scale-up experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong senior-level data engineering with solid software engineering habits.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable pipelines in Python, SQL, Snowflake, Dagster, dbt and AWS.
• Own projects end to end, from ingestion through to analytics.
• Build a proper staging and testing environment, and improve monitoring, alerting and data quality.
• Contribute to CDC and lower-latency data work.
• Code reviews, pairing and supporting more junior engineers.
