Job summary

Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking Accredited Clinical Coders to join our established Coding Team in Exeter. You will code inpatient and day-case episodes across multiple specialties using ICD-10 and OPCS-4, liaising with clinicians to ensure accurate data in the EPR, and support the training of junior coders.

We offer fully remote or hybrid working, a 37.5-hour week, and a 15% recruitment and retention premium paid monthly in addition to salary.

Qualifications

• ACC qualified coder with experience coding inpatient and day-case across specialties.
• Experience with ICD-10 and OPCS-4 coding classifications.
• Evidence of attending a refresher course in the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Code inpatient and day-case episodes across all specialties.
• Liaise with clinicians to verify data recorded in the EPR.
• Mentor novice coders and assist in training.
