The Growth Foundation is an ambitious early-stage technology business enabling ecommerce brands with innovative backend solutions. We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to own design and implementation of scalable backend systems and APIs, with focus on performance, security and reliability.

You will work across data pipelines, job processing and infrastructure, collaborating with product, design and CX teams to deliver features and improve engineering processes.

Competenze

• 4+ years of experience building production-grade backend systems.
• Strong programming skills with clean, maintainable code.
• Experience designing databases, APIs and backend infrastructure.

Mansioni

• Designing, developing and maintaining backend systems for performance and scalability.
• Building and maintaining APIs and backend architecture.
• Architecting infrastructure for job processing, analytics and event tracking.
• Building internal tools for authentication, rate limiting and quota management.
• Working with data pipelines and background processing systems.
• Optimising system performance, security and reliability.
• Own the full engineering lifecycle including testing, infrastructure and monitoring.
• Collaborate with product, design and customer experience teams to deliver features.
• Identify opportunities to improve development processes and tooling.
