The Business Connection Group is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join a remote UK-based team building high-performance connectivity infrastructure. You will design, implement and optimise core backend systems, working with a top-tier engineering group.

Requirements include 5+ years in software development and proficiency in Go, C/C++, Rust or Java, plus 3+ years in large-scale distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Go, C/C++, Rust or Java.
• 3+ years building or running large-scale distributed systems or networks.
• Solid grasp of cloud, container orchestration and distributed data systems.
• Proven technical design and project delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and refine core systems powering critical connectivity infrastructure.
• Lead technical work alongside senior engineers, owning projects end-to-end from design to launch.
• Scale and improve distributed systems for varied environments.
• Shift pipelines from CPU to GPU for speed and efficiency.
• Maintain code quality and strengthen testing practices.
