Job summary

Alstom is seeking an experienced Safety Assurance Manager (Tier 1) for a 6-month FTC. Based remotely with travel to Hatfield and other UK sites, you will lead safety assurance across product development, ensuring SSI compliance and safety governance.

You will collaborate with engineering and project teams, develop safety evidence, drive continuous improvement, and coach the Product Safety Assurance team while reporting into the Safety organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in safety assurance within safety-critical industry.
• Strong understanding of safety standards and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety assurance activities across product development programmes.
• Ensure compliance with Alstom's Signalling Safety Instruction and safety governance.
• Produce and deliver safety documentation per project plans.
• Collaborate with Product Development Managers to monitor progress and risks.
• Provide safety evidence to support commissioning and delivery.
