Job summary

HSB is seeking a Risk Management Surveyor to cover remote work across North East Manchester with travel to sites. You will inspect new-build and refurbished buildings, ensuring compliance with the Technical Manual and Building Regulations.

You will manage your diary, document findings, and advise clients on compliant, quality outcomes. Candidates should have RMS levels 1-3, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to risk management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in construction, surveying, inspection or a similar technical role.
• RMS levels 1-3 with progression to Chartered (L2/L3) under Building Inspector Competency Framework
• Good understanding of Building Regulations, site inspections and defect identification
• Experience working with developers, builders or construction stakeholders
• Full UK driving licence; ability to travel across sites

Responsibilities

• Carry out site inspections and provide technical advice to support safe, compliant construction.
• Plan and manage your workload; record inspection findings and communicate outcomes clearly.
• Identify defects, maintain standards and provide practical guidance to developers and builders.
