Job summary

Obsidian seeks researchers to work on CritPt's research-level physics problems across designated subfields. This is a remote, low-hours engagement emphasizing rigorous written reasoning and verifiable publications.

Applicants should demonstrate strong arXiv/DOI papers and a documented publication record. We require a PhD in mathematical physics, theoretical physics or mathematics, proficiency with LaTeX, Python, SymPy and Jupyter, and ability to provide clear, authored reasoning for each

Qualifications

• PhD in mathematical physics, theoretical physics or mathematics.
• Three to five representative papers with arXiv IDs or DOIs, ideally from the last five years.
• Verifiable publication record; each listed paper checked against public record.
• English at B2 or above, including written reasoning.
• Working proficiency with LaTeX, Python, SymPy and Jupyter.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate publications on at least one of the specified phenomena.
• Contribute to creating problems, solving, reviewing or auditing within one subfield.
• Provide clear, verifiable reasoning in written form for each assignment.
• Coordinate with the panel to match areas and assign tasks.
