Job summary

Abbeyfield is seeking a Regional Operations Manager to lead 12 elderly Sheltered Housing and Independent Living Services across multiple locations. The role is remote/home-based with travel across Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Cambridge, Wiltshire, West Sussex and Kent, and involves ensuring resident wellbeing, quality and compliance, aligned with Abbeyfield's mission and values.

Qualifications

• Track record of multi-site operational delivery in regulatory elderly care setting.
• Experience in leaseholds and managing these.
• Strong people leadership and ability to manage a geographically dispersed workforce.
• Knowledge of Health and Social Care Act 2008 Regulations 2010 and Care Act 2014/15.
• Experience in managing large operating budgets and achieving targets.
• Ability to build brand and service reputation through stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop provision of 12 Sheltered Housing and Independent Living Services.
• Embed governance ensuring high levels of quality and compliance.
• Maintain occupancy and sustainable revenue streams.
• Enhance reputation in target markets across communities served.
• Provide inspiring operational leadership to Sheltered Housing Managers and teams.
• Prioritise residents' health and wellbeing in all staff actions.
• Ensure admissions, needs assessment, nutrition and moving on are well managed.
• Use quality monitoring tools and monitor KPIs for safety and quality.
• Promote a continuous improvement culture with lessons learned.
• Support system implementations at operational level.
• Help managers achieve Abbeyfield’s internal quality marks.
• Oversee financial performance and variances to budgets with corrective action.
