Job summary

DAC Beachcroft LLP is seeking a Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with 0-4 years PQE to join our Property Recoveries team on a permanent, remote basis for England and Wales. You will handle claimant-focused property damage recovery claims arising from perils such as fire, flood, impact and escape of water, usually valued between £10,000 and £100,000, with opportunities to work on higher-value matters.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with Litigation Rights.
• Interest in developing expertise in insurance property damage recoveries.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Analytical and proactive approach with sound legal reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Handle claimant-based property recovery work and pre-litigated and litigated claims.
• Investigate liability on recovery claims arising from perils such as water damage, flooding and fire.
• Manage own caseload, negotiate quantum and settlements with third parties.
• Instruct Counsel and experts, progress claims through to trial where appropriate.
• Support marketing and business development within the team.
