Job summary

Last Mile is seeking a Project Manager, Major Projects to lead delivery of substations and multi-utility connections across the Southwest of England with occasional nationwide travel. You will drive safety, programme management, and stakeholder collaboration from planning to completion.

The role requires experience in power distribution networks, subcontractor coordination and strong IT literacy. The company offers a supportive environment and a range of employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects across locations.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution networks is advantageous.
• Experience with safety and regulatory requirements in major infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of project safety and quality, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and health and safety requirements.
• Prepare risk assessments, method statements and related safety documents.
• Plan, monitor and maintain project programmes with the Major Projects team.
• Coordinate electrical installation works across primary substations and complex sites.
• Coordinate major plant deliveries and resources with internal teams and subcontractors.
• Maintain client communications and provide weekly progress updates.
