Chadwick Nott is seeking an experienced Plot Sales Conveyancer for a short-term locum assignment. This fully remote role covers a 4-week period, with start in October 2026, and offers competitive hourly rates of up to £28 PAYE / £38 Umbrella.

The successful candidate will handle plot sales and residential conveyancing matters with minimal supervision, manage pre-contract and post-completion tasks, and work independently within a busy conveyancing team.

Qualifications

• Must have sufficient conveyancing experience to work independently without supervision.
• Experience handling plot sales and residential conveyancing is essential.
• Ability to manage transactions from instruction through to completion.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Experience using case management systems and Land Registry portals.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and issuing contract packs
• Managing pre-contract enquiries
• Handling exchanges of contracts
• Dealing with part exchange purchases and resales
• Preparing completion statements
• Managing completion and post-completion processes
• Submitting Land Registry applications
• Completing SDLT returns
• Ordering and reviewing conveyancing searches
• Opening and maintaining files
• Preparing bills and supporting wider transactional processes
• Assisting the wider Real Estate team as required
