Job summary

Portfolio Payroll Limited is recruiting an experienced Payroll & Finance professional for a Cheshire-based client to support and develop their payroll service for public sector clients. You'll manage end-to-end monthly payroll, year-end activities (P11D/HMRC), and finance tasks such as purchase ledgers and invoicing, while delivering first-class client service.

The role offers full-time, remote work with occasional office presence in Cheshire, a 16% pension, study support, and other employee

Qualifications

• End-to-end payroll experience, monthly cycles.
• Strong communication skills.
• Payroll experience with year-end activities.
• Experience with local authority payroll is a plus.
• Full-time role.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end payroll processing monthly.
• Perform finance functions alongside payroll.
• Manipulate data in Excel.
• Year-end processes including P11D and HMRC submissions.
• Assist with purchase ledger and invoicing.
• Provide first-class service to clients.
• Process LGPS pensions and TPS.
