Job summary

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a Pay & Employee Services Officer to join the busy Pay & Employee Services Department. You will handle end-to-end payroll tasks within ESR, ensuring accurate processing for a dedicated client area and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs including Maths and English at grade A-C (4-9) or equivalent qualification/experience.
• European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) or relevant MS Office training.
• CIPP Payroll Technician Certificate.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office packages including Word and Excel.
• Excellent numeracy and writing skills.
• Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines by planning and prioritising own workload.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for an allocated section within ESR, meeting deadlines.
• Input confidential employee data into ESR accurately.
• Provide technical advice and support on complex pay issues, terms and conditions and regulations.
• Manage end-to-end payroll processes including starters, changes to contract, and leavers.
• Maintain high-quality service delivery within a busy payroll team.
