Job summary

AFH Wealth Management is seeking a Paraplanner to join our team on a remote basis, with occasional visits to the Bromsgrove office for training and team days. You will conduct independent research, prepare bespoke investment reports, and support financial planning across portfolios.

The role requires a Diploma in Financial Planning, strong report-writing and numerical skills, and high accuracy. Experience in an IFA environment and proficiency in Microsoft Office are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Financial Planning.
• Demonstration of knowledge, interest and experience in personal financial planning and in the construction of financial planning research and suitability reports.
• Experience in an IFA environment, demonstrating quality communications of constructive feedback.
• A high standard of written and numerical skills.
• An ability to demonstrate strong report-writing skills.
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Aptitude in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and deliver comprehensive financial research, within set SLAs, on products and investments on an independent basis using company-approved research tools.
• Prepare and deliver bespoke investment reports, within set SLAs, to clients through the analysis of existing investment portfolios and comparison against suitable benchmarks.
• Prepare and interpret complex plan information with a view to completing transfer analysis.
• Prepare complex financial planning reports, within set SLAs, in multiple financial planning areas.
• Research and review, where necessary, new and existing legislation and technical/product information to aid in the role that is performed.
• Thorough research conducted where necessary and referring to senior team members, where necessary.
• Participating in firm research projects, adhering to set deadlines, as and if required.
