Job summary

Telleroo is a UK-based B2B payments platform with a fully remote team. We are seeking a hands-on senior operations leader to own day-to-day activities across Customer Support & Operations, Periodic Review, Transactions and Onboarding.

Reporting to the COO, you will set priorities, drive performance and ensure regulatory compliance. You will lead four team leads, manage onboarding, due diligence, payment operations and reconciliations, and continuously improve processes with automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' operations experience in payments, banking, EMI or regulated fintech.
• 2+ years managing team leads or managers.
• Experience with KYB/KYC onboarding, ongoing due diligence, payment processing or reconciliations.
• Proven ability to improve performance and manage backlogs.
• Experience handling operational risks and regulatory deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop four team leads, setting clear objectives and holding them accountable for performance.
• Own daily operations, service standards, KPIs, reporting and backlog management.
• Oversee onboarding, periodic reviews and transaction monitoring in line with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain payment controls, reconciliations, approvals and access management.
• Own escalations, complaints and incidents, ensuring timely resolution and regulatory compliance.
• Identify inefficiencies, simplify processes and use automation and AI to improve performance.
• Manage team capacity, recruitment and operational cover.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Product and Engineering to implement changes safely.
• Deputise for the COO on operational matters.
