Job summary

Teya is building a focused payments platform for local businesses in Europe. The Payments Operations Lead will centralise outbound payments, merchant settlements and related reconciliation, bringing order to a growing, hands-on environment.

You will own daily workflows with banking partners, drive runbooks, and partner with Treasury, Product, Finance, Compliance and Customer Operations to ensure reliable, compliant payments operations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on payments operations experience with SEPA, Faster Payments and SWIFT.
• Experience collaborating with Treasury or Finance on funding and liquidity.
• Proven ability to own processes, fix problems and deliver outcomes.
• Comfortable in fast-moving, start-up or scale-up environments.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of payments and settlement operations and centralise them into one capability.
• Map current processes, standardise and document runbooks that do not rely on product teams.
• Run day-to-day payments and settlements to ensure timely and accurate transfers.
• Own relationships with banking and payment partners and monitor service levels.
• Forecast funding and liquidity with Treasury to avoid unfunded delays.
• Test and operate payment rails with the payments specialists and partners.
• Implement controls for reconciliation, screening, and fraud prevention with Finance and Compliance.
• Own incident handling for payment failures and drive continuity plans.
