Job summary

Clifford Chance LLP is seeking an Operations Lead to supervise a team of paralegals delivering the 15:00–23:00 remote shift from the Newcastle Delivery Centre. The role combines line management, project oversight, and occasional fee-earning across the firm’s Global Product Groups.

You will coordinate with Newcastle and Delhi teams, ensure time recording, QA, training, and governance. The position offers development in leadership, operations and AI-enabled workflows during the fixed-term pilot.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal with a range of stakeholders.
• Experience supervising paralegals and providing feedback/training.
• Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Team Supervision and Development: line management for remote paralegals; performance management; ensure timely time entry.
• Operational Delivery and Project Management: support Operations Managers; ensure efficient delivery during the 15:00-23:00 shift; QA and risk management.
• Billable work: participate in fee-earning activities; target in the 15-25% range.
• Process Improvement: lead tasks; collaborate with Process Architects, Legal Tech Advisors and Transformation.
• Technology and AI: promote and embed AI; useLegora, Office and Dragons, Litera, Kira, Connect.
• Development of the Delivery Centres: recruitment/training; coordinate delivery with Delhi APAC shift; travel as needed.

Education

Degree in any discipline or Level 3 Professional Diploma in Law and Practice is desirable
