Job summary

Capsticks Solicitors LLP in Leeds is seeking an operationally focused Team Manager to lead the delivery of fitness to practise work for a large regulatory client. You will manage the paralegal team and support the Client Account Lead with reporting, forecasting and client requirements.

The role requires strong people management, commercial awareness and the ability to drive improvements in delivery, reporting and IT systems. This is a hybrid position with a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing people within a professional services or operational environment.
• Strong line management, engagement and wellbeing skills.
• Ability to build relationships with lawyers, paralegals and client contacts.
• Commercially aware with ability to review contractual arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective line management to the paralegal team and monitor performance.
• Oversee daily workload allocation and capacity planning to meet deadlines.
• Analyse and report operational, financial and performance data.
• Support the Client Account Lead with reporting, forecasting and client requirements.
• Lead onboarding, training and mentoring to build capability and resilience.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and automate reporting.
• Collaborate on IT/system changes and delivery improvements.
• Maintain strong client-facing relationships and manage stakeholder expectations.
