Job summary

Dentons Canada is seeking bright, ambitious paralegals to join our Legal Delivery Centre, supporting the derivatives team within the Banking group. This remote, UK-wide role offers exposure to high-quality, chargeable work and the chance to progress through the QualiFLY programme.

Join a flexible, scalable team across the UK, Ireland and Middle East. The role is primarily remote with occasional office hub options in Milton Keynes, Glasgow, Edinburgh and London, depending on location.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three A levels at grade A, or equivalent.
• A qualification in law, minimum 2.1 (Degree, Graduate Diploma in Law).
• LPC or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
• Previous paralegal experience (helpful but not essential).
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Ability to work under pressure and to very tight deadlines (essential).
• Ability to organise, prioritise and multi-task.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrate drive and initiative.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with Partners and professionals across the firm.
• Flexible and sociable team player.

Responsibilities

• Negotiating and drafting master agreements and ancillary documents for securities lending, repo and derivatives (GMRA, GMSLA and ISDA).
• Liaising with clients and counterparties in a timely, courteous and professional manner.
• Managing client tracking tables using Word and Excel.
• Drafting emails and correspondence on behalf of fee earners.
• Undertaking legal research.
• Providing administrative support to fee earners.
• Filing and maintaining correspondence and documentation.
