Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Offshore Engineer to join a distributed team on critical oil & gas projects. The role focuses on design, analysis, and support for offshore structures and subsea systems, performed entirely remotely from a home base near East London.

The candidate will use advanced simulation tools to deliver innovative solutions and collaborate with global teams. A strong background in structural/mechanical engineering and offshore experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in structural or mechanical engineering or a closely related field.
• 7+ years offshore engineering experience in oil and gas.
• Proficient in structural analysis tools and offshore standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of offshore platforms, risers, and subsea equipment.
• Develop and review engineering designs to meet project requirements.
• Provide technical support for offshore construction, installation and commissioning.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for offshore projects.
• Collaborate with naval architects, geologists, and project managers.
• Prepare technical documentation including reports, specs, and drawings.
