Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited is seeking an experienced NOC Operations Manager to lead the Network Operations Centre, oversee critical infrastructure services, and drive improvements in service delivery, resilience, and customer satisfaction. The role blends technical leadership with hands-on engineering across Microsoft and Cisco environments.

The position offers remote-first working, growth opportunities, and exposure to enterprise Microsoft, VMware and Cisco technologies.

Qualifications

• Hands-on expertise in Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Proven experience leading a NOC or operations team.
• Strong knowledge of VMware ESXi and enterprise networking.
• Experience with monitoring, incident management and automation.
• Proficiency with Cisco environments and HAProxy/Keepalived.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day NOC operations and incident management.
• Monitor networks using NOC tools and dashboards.
• Manage Linux, Windows Server and Windows 10/11.
• Administer VMware ESXi infrastructure.
• Investigate, triage and resolve routing, firewalls, WLAN incidents.
• Support Cisco networking environments.
• Configure DNS, routing, firewalls, Keepalived and HAProxy.
• Manage web services (Apache, NGINX, Squid).
• Oversee Veeam backup, replication and DR.
• Administer Microsoft Intune endpoint management.
• Support HP servers and Apache Guacamole remote access.
• Perform root cause analysis and produce incident reports.
• Escalate complex incidents to 2nd/3rd line.
• Ensure SLA compliance and customer communication.
• Produce Runbooks and operational procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement in monitoring and automation.
• Participate in on-call rota.
• Ensure security, resilience and best practices.
