Job summary

Civica is recruiting NHS Payroll Controllers to join a remote team delivering payroll services across the UK. You will own the full payroll lifecycle for NHS clients, liaising with NHS trusts, HMRC and NHS Pensions, and leveraging ESR knowledge to ensure accurate, timely pay runs.

Qualifications

• GCSE level (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
• Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Key and check payroll input.
• Produce monthly reporting for the client and submit BACS upon authorization.
• Produce scheduled payroll reports and payslips.
• Ensure all payments are processed accurately and on time according to schedules.
• Handle client queries professionally with agreed resolutions.
• Maintain communication with 3rd parties such as HMRC, NHS Pensions and Courts.
• Process year end returns accurately and on time.
• Ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
