Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Network Security Specialist to bolster a rapidly growing telecommunications innovator. You will design and implement secure network architectures, monitor threats, and respond to incidents from any location.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or IT, 6+ years in network security focusing on telecom infrastructure, hands-on experience with Palo Alto, Cisco Firepower, Fortinet and Check Point, SIEM tools like

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in network security, with a strong focus on securing telecommunications infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and best practices (e.g., TCP/IP, TLS/SSL, firewall configurations, IDS).
• Hands-on experience with security technologies such as Palo Alto, Cisco Firepower, Fortinet, Check Point, and EDR solutions.
• Proficiency in using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack) for security monitoring and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage network security solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and endpoint security.
• Monitor network traffic for security threats and anomalies, utilizing SIEM and other security tools.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures across the organization.
• Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate security into the network design and development lifecycle.
• Provide security awareness training to employees.
• Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations and best practices.
