Placements24 is seeking a vigilant Remote Cybersecurity Analyst to protect digital assets and infrastructure. You will monitor security systems, investigate incidents, and implement measures to guard against cyberattacks in a fully remote setup.

Collaborating with IT and compliance teams, you will ensure robust security controls align with ISO 27001 and NIST standards, while supporting certifications and ongoing professional growth in cybersecurity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in a cybersecurity role such as Security Analyst or SOC Analyst.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and defensive measures.
• Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions.
• Knowledge of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and independent working skills in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events from SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and EDR to identify threats.
• Investigate security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and determine scope of breaches.
• Develop and implement security policies and best practices to mitigate risks.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses.
• Respond to and manage security incidents, coordinating remediation with teams.
• Stay updated on threats and technologies, recommending security improvements.
