Job summary

Version 1 is seeking an experienced Tech Lead for our Digital Data & Cloud Practice in the UK. You will design, develop and lead cloud-based software projects for public and private sector clients, driving modern architectures and secure, scalable solutions.

You will own technical direction, oversee CI/CD practices, and mentor engineers while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver large-scale transformations across platforms including Azure.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of coding best practices and modern architectural patterns, including microservices and message-driven architectures.
• Hands-on coding with frontend Angular and backend .NET/C#.
• Strong experience in Test-Driven Development and robust test suites for CI/CD.
• Experience developing REST-based APIs and enterprise-grade software.
• Proficient with DevOps and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Packer, Docker).
• Experience with containerisation/orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Experience deploying solutions on Microsoft Azure; AZ-204 or AZ-305 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining cloud-based software applications.
• Providing technical leadership to coordinate delivery of scalable, secure solutions.
• Working within an agile/project management framework.
• Owning a product or software solution from design through to release and support.
• Documenting architectures, configurations, and release processes.
• Collaborating with Version 1 and customer stakeholders across the lifecycle.
• Mentoring and developing junior team members; promoting a positive team environment.
