Job summary

Kier Group is seeking an experienced MEICA Estimator to join the Southern Water Framework team, with remote work and occasional travel to offices in the Southern Water region (Brighton/Chichester). The role focuses on developing prices for mechanical and electrical works within framework requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a proven tendering track record in the water industry, strong planning skills, and knowledge of pre-construction/ECI phases, working within integrated multi-sector

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering tenders and pricing in the water industry.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills for managing a portfolio of framework projects.
• Strong experience in Pre-Construction/ECI phases to identify risks and opportunities.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical assets used in the Water Industry.
• Competent in using IT packages including estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare multi-discipline tender pricing and produce pricing at varying levels (top-down budgets to bottom-up lump sums).
• Read and understand client specs and drawings, feeding into the design management process.
• Identify risks and opportunities with site safety, health, quality and environmental considerations.
• Coordinate and liaise with suppliers, specialist sub-contractors and in-house resources; assess supply chain quotations.
• Compile final submission documentation; ensure tenders meet Kier and client commercial requirements.
