Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Mechanical and Electrical Project Engineer to support MEICA delivery across water assets in the North West. You will work with project managers, engineers and suppliers to ensure safe, compliant and right-first-time execution that meets programme, quality and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC/HND, degree, apprenticeship or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering or related discipline.
• CSCS card and a recognised safety qualification such as IOSH, SSSTS or SMSTS.
• Experience delivering MEICA works on capital projects, ideally in the UK water/utilities.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate MEICA work packages including pumps, valves, pipework, MCCs, LV distribution, drives, instrumentation, actuated valves, telemetry, and PLC/SCADA interfaces.
• Review design information, specifications, drawings, schedules, and supplier documentation to confirm buildability and compliance.
• Coordinate with designers, construction teams and subcontractors to resolve queries and installation constraints.
• Produce, review and coordinate RAMS, permits, inspection and test plans, quality check sheets, FAT/SAT, commissioning packs and handover records.
• Support safe isolation, shutdown, tie-in and cut-over planning for live water and wastewater assets.
