Psychiatry UK is recruiting a Management Accountant for a home-based role with UK-wide travel to meetings as required. The post reports to the Head of Management Accounting and offers a remote, full-time 40-hour week arrangement with a salary up to £45,000 plus a £1,000 homeworking allowance.

Qualifications

• Qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA.
• Experience partnering with non-financial stakeholders.
• Experience supporting annual budgeting and in-year forecasting/reforecasting processes.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, with proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
• Proven administrative experience.
• Knowledge of Sage Intacct (desirable).
• Experience in the healthcare industry (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day accounts related operations of the Finance Department.
• Prepare group monthly management accounts from trial balance.
• Ensure all control account balances are reconciled monthly.
• Produce overhead accruals and prepayments for all entities; process group recharges accurately.
• Act as a finance business partner to operational and departmental leaders, providing financial insight and challenge.
• Provide departmental managers with meaningful financial analysis, KPIs and commentary.
• Coordinate, prepare and consolidate the annual budget process with budget holders.
• Prepare quarterly VAT return for approval.
• Liaise with external auditors and provide information.
• Analyse project expenditure and communicate with project managers.
• Assist in overhead analysis and use Excel to present information.
• Support year-end audit and WIP verification.
• Complete ad hoc project work as directed by the Financial Controller.
• Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting in line with policies.
