Placements24 is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team remotely from South Africa. You will provide budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to guide decisions, with timely reporting and compliance.

The role requires a 5+ year track record in management accounting, strong Excel and ERP experience (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite), and the ability to work independently in a remote setup. A CIMA/ACCA/CA(SA) qualification is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
• 5+ years of management accounting or financial analysis experience
• Strong understanding of management accounting principles and financial reporting frameworks
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, macros)
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is essential
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and strategic thinking skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to explain complex financial data
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a remote setting
• Must have reliable internet access and be based in South Africa

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage budgets and forecasts aligned with objectives
• Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts with variance explanations
• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic initiatives
• Monitor KPIs and provide regular management reports
• Assist development of management accounting policies and procedures
• Support cost accounting and inventory valuation processes
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
• Collaborate with departments to provide financial insights
• Assist in financial modelling and scenario planning
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of internal financial reporting
