Job summary

The SZC Prefabrication Deputy Package Manager at Balfour Beatty plc will lead the prefabrication of offshore ramps at Avonmouth hub, Bristol, coordinating with the Fabrication Project Manager and multiple subcontractors to meet programme, safety and quality standards. The role spans pre-construction and construction phases on heavy civil works for Sizewell C.

You'll manage interfaces, progress meetings, reviewing ITPs, MARs and ensuring compliance with BS and EN standards, with strong emphasis

Qualifications

• Experience leading heavy civil work on construction sites.
• Strong management skills including project, cost, schedule and change control.
• Excellent communication and facilitation abilities.
• SMSTS
• CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test - Managers & Professionals

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the assigned package, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Coordinate with the Fabrication Project Manager of the hub and subcontractors.
• Review interfaces with adjacent activities and brief Preconstruction Leads and Avonmouth PM.
• Organise regular site progress meetings to monitor progress, quality and safety.
• Review tender information and subcontracts with commercial and procurement teams.
• Ensure equipment and materials are supplied on time and in compliance with standards.
• Produce and approve ITPs and MARs as appropriate.
• Ensure the Ramps supply chain maintains product approvals and compliance.
