Job summary

ReVybe IT Recruitment Limited is seeking a Lead Azure Platform Engineer to own and evolve the Azure platform for a fintech scaleup. You will lead a small team while spending roughly half your time delivering hands-on cloud infrastructure and enabling rapid delivery.

You will define architectural direction, drive best practices, and collaborate with engineering leadership to shape the platform's long-term strategy. This role offers a 50/50 split between hands-on work and leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to own and evolve cloud platforms on Microsoft Azure.
• Experience designing and implementing cloud infrastructure at scale.
• Strong background in Terraform and IaC.
• Experience leading a small engineering team and mentoring engineers.
• Balanced skillset of hands-on delivery and architectural leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of three platform engineers, owning design, development, security and evolution of the Azure platform.
• Set platform roadmap, standards and influence architectural decisions across engineering.
• Spend ~50% of time on hands-on cloud infrastructure, automation, and platform services.
• Drive IaC with Terraform to automate provisioning and management.
• Architect and maintain container platforms using Kubernetes and/or Azure Container Apps.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
