Job summary

ReVybe IT Recruitment Limited is seeking a Lead Azure Platform Engineer for a fintech scaleup. You will own the Azure platform, lead a small team of three engineers, and shape the technology strategy as the business scales.

This role offers a 50/50 split between hands-on engineering and technical leadership, with the freedom to evolve architectural patterns while guiding platform direction. Remote UK with monthly in-person London interaction and a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and managing Azure-based cloud infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of IaC with Terraform.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience with Azure Container Apps.
• Proven track record leading platform engineering teams.
• Ability to balance hands-on delivery with architectural leadership.
• Security best practices in cloud environments.
• Excellent collaboration with engineering leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the Azure platform design, security, and evolution.
• Lead a three-person platform team and mentor engineers.
• Spend ~50% on hands-on design and implementation.
• Develop and improve IaC with Terraform.
• Drive CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Define platform standards and architectural patterns.
• Champion scalable, resilient, and secure cloud infrastructure.
