Job summary

SR2 is seeking a Junior Data Engineer for a predominantly remote role with occasional London meetings. You will join a central government data programme to move, transform, and process operational data into a large-scale data platform.

In this hands-on role, you will build and maintain data pipelines, support ingestion and processing, and collaborate with engineers across the programme using Python/Java, SQL, and cloud-based tools.

Qualifications

• Commercial Data Engineering or data-focused software engineering experience
• Python and/or Java
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience building or maintaining data pipelines
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms
• Good understanding of production engineering environments

• Build and maintain data pipelines
