Placements24 is seeking a motivated Junior Buyer to join their fully remote procurement team. You will support senior buyers across sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management to ensure timely, cost-effective purchases.

This role is ideal for someone starting their career in purchasing and eager to learn in a virtual work environment. A degree or diploma in Business or Supply Chain is preferred, with exposure to purchasing and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Some exposure to or internship in a purchasing or administrative role is beneficial.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior buyers with the creation and processing of purchase orders.
• Source potential suppliers and gather competitive quotes under guidance.
• Help maintain supplier information and procurement records accurately.
• Track order status and communicate with suppliers regarding delivery timelines.
• Support the team in resolving basic queries related to orders and invoices.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
