Job summary

Percepta is seeking an IT Support Services Technician in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on first and second-line technical support, incident logging, and user access management, with daily system checks and hardware support. Remote with occasional travel to Rutherglen, Glasgow, 40-hour week.

Applicants must be based in the UK and reside within a 40-minute commute of Rutherglen. A 34k base salary plus annual bonus reflects the early to mid-career level in a customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent IT experience.
• CompTIA A+ desirable.
• CompTIA Network+ desirable.
• Mid-level experience in Help Desk or Desktop hardware/software in a corporate or call centre environment.
• Experience with basic Network troubleshooting.
• Experience with basic Azure, Cloud Services (AWS), and Telephony troubleshooting.
• Experience with ticketing systems, preferably ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support via phone, tickets, and chat.
• Log, document, and track incidents in ServiceNow or required systems.
• Carry out daily operational checks and monitor system performance.
• Deliver local IT support including hardware setup, imaging, upgrades, repairs, and PC relocations.
• Manage user access and application permissions; support IT manager-directed tasks.
• Work across IT support shifts and participate in on-call cover.
