Job summary

Fonoa is hiring an IT Engineer to scale internal IT processes and support a globally distributed team. You will work with People Ops, Finance, Legal, Sales, and Engineering to ensure everyone has what they need to do their best work.

The role uses Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and other tools across Mac, Windows, and Linux devices. Expect hands-on onboarding, on-call rotations, and opportunities to automate and improve security practices.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools and secure device deployment.
• Experience managing hardware procurement, renewals, and logistics with asset records.
• Ability rollout and manage software across platforms to meet company needs.
• Hands-on experience administering Google Workspace in a company setting.
• Comfort supporting teammates troubleshooting hardware/software, MacOS preferred.
• Understand security practices: encryption, access controls, audits to protect systems.

Responsibilities

• Build a smooth day-one setup experience with hardware, software and access.
• Own and resolve help desk requests; support day-to-day IT issues.
• Participate in on-call rotations for IT and security requests.
• Administer and maintain Google Workspace: provisioning, groups, calendars, security.
• Manage lifecycle of IT equipment from procurement to disposal.
• Create and maintain internal IT process documentation.
• Manage user access across internal tools and platforms.
• Keep hardware inventory accurate and up-to-date.
• Collaborate with vendors to evaluate and support tools used.
• Build internal tools/automation to scale IT operations.
