Escape is seeking a Senior IT Support Engineer (MSP) in Edinburgh and the Lothians. The role is home-based with client visits typically 1–2 days a week, salary £35,000–£42,000 DOE.

You will provide hands-on 2nd/3rd line support across varied client environments, act as an escalation point, and assist with infrastructure migrations while building strong relationships and owning problems through to resolution.

• At least three years’ hands-on MSP experience.
• Strong 2nd/3rd line support and troubleshooting.

• The ability to work independently.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Based within reach of Edinburgh and the Lothians for client visits.

Senior IT Support Engineer | MSP

Edinburgh & Lothians | £35,000-£42,000 DOE

Home-based with client visits, typically 1-2 days per week

WHAT'S THE ROLE?

You’ll provide hands‑on 2nd/3rd line support, act as an escalation point for other engineers and work across varied client environments, including infrastructure migrations.

The technical scope includes:

• Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory & Intune
• Windows Server & Group Policy
• Networking, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, switches, routers & VPNs
• Virtualisation, backup & recovery
• Endpoint & infrastructure security

You won’t be expected to know everything. What matters is your ability to investigate unfamiliar problems, identify the root cause, use the resources available and take ownership through to resolution.

WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED?

• At least three years' hands‑on experience working for an MSP is essential
• Strong 2nd/3rd line support and troubleshooting skills
• Experience handling technical escalations
• Confident communication with clients and colleagues
• The ability to work independently
• A full UK driving licence
• Based within reach of Edinburgh and the Lothians for client visits
• Microsoft certifications are welcome, but practical experience carries more weight.

WHAT'S ON OFFER?
