Job summary

Altum Consulting is seeking an Interim HR Business Partner for a national charity, offering a remote role with Southeast travel. The role focuses on generalist HR support, employee relations casework, and advising managers on employment law within a dispersed workforce.

The position is a 6-month fixed-term contract, ideal for a proactive HR professional with strong stakeholder management skills and CIPD Level 5 qualification. Immediate start preferred.

Qualifications

• Generalist HR experience with broad employee relations knowledge.
• Knowledge of UK employment law and advising managers on ER matters.
• Experience supporting organisational change or TUPE processes advantageous.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
• Self-driven, proactive, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide generalist HR business partnering support to managers and senior stakeholders across the Southeast region.
• Advise on employee relations casework including performance, absence, disciplinaries, and grievances.
• Support organisational change, restructures, and TUPE-related activity where required.
• Coach managers on effective people management and HR policy adherence.
• Guide on employment law and HR policies to ensure compliant practices across services.
• Engage with multiple locations to support people priorities and respond to changing needs.
