Job summary

LA International Computer Consultants Ltd is seeking an Interaction Designer (UX Designer) for remote work outside IR35. You will apply GOV.UK Design System and GOV.UK standards to craft accessible, user-centred interactions and end-to-end journeys across devices.

You will translate user research into wireframes, flows and prototypes, collaborating with Agile teams and developers to ensure feasible, high-quality solutions that meet the GOV.UK requirements.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Interaction Design (UX) or user-centred design.
• Knowledge of GOV.UK Design System and GOV.UK Service Standard is essential.
• Strong understanding of WCAG 2.2 AA and accessible design practices.
• Proven ability to create wireframes, flows, prototypes and interaction designs.
• Experience interpreting user research to inform design decisions.

Responsibilities

• Apply GOV.UK design principles and standards across the service lifecycle.
• Design accessible, user-centred interactions and end-to-end journeys.
• Create sketches, flows, wireframes and interactive prototypes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary Agile teams from discovery to live service.
• Work with developers to ensure feasible and accurate implementation.
• Ensure consistency across devices and channels and communicate design decisions.
