Job summary

Kurt J. Lesker Company is seeking an Installation and Service Engineer to join our Process Equipment Division.

You will install and service vacuum systems across Europe, troubleshoot mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies, and provide technical support to customers. The role requires a degree in a scientific discipline, 5+ years in field service or related roles, and the ability to travel within the UK and internationally.

Qualifications

5+ years experience in field service, installation or service engineering.
Vacuum technology and thin film deposition knowledge.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to travel regularly across the UK and internationally.

Responsibilities

Provide system installation and support for KJLC/KDF PVD tools.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies or coating systems.
Perform preventative maintenance, system upgrades, and field modifications.
Interact with customers via phone, email and video conferencing.
Travel to customer sites across the UK and Europe for installations and support.
Deliver customer training on system operation, software and hardware.
Interpret technical drawings, schematics and system documentation.
Perform helium leak detection and basic analysis using an RGA.
Build strong relationships as a trusted technical advisor.
