Job summary

Virtual Pharmacist LTD is seeking a remote Independent Prescriber clinical pharmacist to provide support to GP practices and primary care networks across England. This locum position offers flexible working patterns, requiring a minimum of 18 hours per week, with responsibilities including conducting medication reviews and managing long-term conditions.

The ideal candidate will be an GPhC-registered pharmacist with at least 2 years of clinical experience, proficiency in EMIS Web or SystmOne, and an Independent Prescriber qualification.

Qualifications

• GPhC-registered pharmacist in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years post-registration experience in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrable GP practice or primary care experience.
• Proficiency with EMIS Web or SystmOne.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structured medication reviews and prescribe within IP scope.
• Manage acute prescription request reviews and prescribe independently.
• Support discharge medication reconciliation.
• Manage long-term conditions clinics: diabetes, hypertension, asthma, COPD.
• Contribute to QOF and IIF targets.
